Coffee Brewing Equipment

Coffee brewing equipment on this page is the short list we use ourselves: Hario V60 drippers and servers, the Chemex, AeroPress in Go and XL sizes, the Clever Dripper, a Hario hand grinder, a cold brew bottle, and the paper filters for each of them. Nothing here is on the page because a supplier asked. Everything ships from Westfield, New Jersey, with or without coffee in the same box.

The Brewers We Actually Recommend

A good filter brewer costs less than a month of coffee and changes every cup after it. These are the ones that come out when we train new café staff, and they are the ones we point customers to when they ask what to buy.

Pourover: V60 and Chemex

The Hario V60 ceramic dripper is the fastest way into pourover, cheap, forgiving and easy to clean. Pair it with the V60 glass server and the 02 paper filters. The Chemex 6-cup brews bigger batches through a thicker bonded filter for a very clean, bright cup. Both are where light roasts and single origins show best.

Immersion: AeroPress and Clever Dripper

If you want less technique and more consistency, immersion is the answer. The Clever Dripper steeps like a French press and drains through a paper filter, so the cup is full-bodied without sludge. The AeroPress Go travels, the AeroPress XL makes two cups, and both work with the micro-filters sold here. Good for medium and dark roasts.

Grinders, cold brew and filters

The Hario Skerton Pro is a ceramic burr hand grinder with enough range for French press through espresso-adjacent. The Hario cold brew bottle steeps overnight in the fridge with no extra kit. Filters are stocked for all of it: V60 02, Chemex bonded, Melitta #4 and AeroPress standard and XL.

Frequently asked questions

Which brewer should I start with?
The Hario V60 if you want to learn pourover, the Clever Dripper if you want good coffee with the least fuss. Both are under $40.
Do I need a grinder?
Grinding fresh is the single biggest upgrade after the beans. If you are not ready for one, pick the matching grind at checkout and we grind the morning it ships.
Do the filters fit other brands?
V60 02 filters fit any 02-size cone dripper. Chemex filters are Chemex-specific. Melitta #4 fits most cone drip machines. AeroPress filters fit only AeroPress.
Does equipment ship with my coffee?
Yes. Equipment and coffee ship together from Westfield, New Jersey in one order.
Which grind should I order for each brewer?
Pourover grind for the V60 and Chemex, drip grind for the Clever Dripper and AeroPress, French press for a coarser immersion, and cold brew grind for the Hario cold brew bottle. Or buy whole bean and grind at home.
