A Summit Coffee Shop Since 2014
Boxwood started here. Our Summit café opened on Beechwood Road in 2014, and this town's generous, loyal regulars are the reason there is a Boxwood at all. It sits in the middle of downtown Summit, a short walk from the train station, so it is as much a commuter's first stop as a weekend meeting place.
The coffee in your cup was roasted down the road at our Westfield roastery. We roast to order Monday through Thursday, so the beans behind the bar here are never far from roast day. Even our Hill City blend takes its name from Summit, the town where Boxwood began.
What We Pour
Espresso bar
Espresso and milk drinks, made with coffee from our own roastery.
Brewed coffee and tea
Brewed coffee to carry onto the train, and tea for anyone who wants something other than coffee. The full Summit menu, with current prices, lives on our order-ahead site.
Beans to take home
Liked what you drank? The same coffees are in our online coffee shop, roasted to order and ground for whatever brewer you own. If you would rather never run out, a coffee subscription sends a fresh bag on your schedule.
Visiting the Summit Café
You will find us at 17 Beechwood Rd, Summit, NJ 07901, open from 7am to 6pm seven days a week. Order ahead online and your drink will be waiting at the counter, which is the easy way to make an early train.
Prefer the bigger room? Our second café, with the roastery, is a short drive away in Westfield. See both Boxwood cafés.
