Introducing the Boxwood Reserves Series: Specialty Coffee, Redefined
What is the Boxwood Reserves Series?
The Boxwood Reserves Series is a rotating collection of limited-edition, small-batch coffees — the ones where we chase rare and experimental processing and flavors that stand apart from our core lineup. Each release is a one-time offering, chosen for something unusual in the cup.
Why we make it
The Reserves Series is where we partner with producers who like to experiment. Every batch goes through the same rigorous selection and quality control as the rest of our coffee, but the goal is different: to explore the edges of flavor — tropical, wine-like, floral, nutty — and share coffees you won't find in a standard offering.
The first release: Guava Banana
We launched the series with Guava Banana, a natural anaerobic coffee from Tolima, Colombia. It's bright and tropical, with guava sweetness, creamy banana, and a zesty lime finish. Anaerobic processing — fermenting the cherries in oxygen-free tanks before drying — is what gives it that bold, fruit-forward character.
About Tolima, Colombia
Tolima sits in the Andes, with rich volcanic soil and varied microclimates that are ideal for high-quality coffee. Its smallholder farmers combine traditional methods with newer techniques to produce coffees as distinctive as the landscape.
How to brew it
Brew Guava Banana as a pour-over or AeroPress to highlight its tropical notes and lively acidity. Shop Guava Banana.
