PERU - LAS DAMAS: A Single Origin Masterpiece

What is Peru Las Damas?

Peru Las Damas is a washed single-origin coffee from the Cajamarca region of northern Peru, grown by women-led cooperatives. It's sweet and balanced, with notes of raisin, a bright hint of lime, and a lingering sweetness — good black or with a splash of milk.

The story behind the name

"Las Damas" — the ladies — refers to the women farmers behind the coffee. Many farms in Cajamarca are small and family-run, with women playing a central role in growing, harvesting, and processing. Buying this coffee helps support them and their communities. We sourced it through Royal New York, a partner focused on sustainable, high-quality coffee.

Why Cajamarca

Cajamarca sits high in the Andes, with farms between 1,500 and 2,000 meters. Cool temperatures slow the cherries as they ripen, building complexity, while varied microclimates, fertile soil, and steady rainfall create ideal conditions for Arabica. Washed processing keeps the cup crisp and clean, preserving its bright acidity and natural sweetness.

How to brew it

A pour-over like the V60 brings out the raisin and lime; a French press leans into the sweetness and body. Explore our current single-origin coffees.
