An Espresso Bar Built for Newark's Big Events

Newark is 12 miles from our Westfield roastery, a short trip up Route 22 or the Parkway. It is New Jersey's largest city, home to an arena, universities, a performing arts center and corporate headquarters, and its events tend to run large. We bring a mobile espresso bar and baristas who can keep a long line moving.

Newark events that suit a coffee bar include conference breaks in downtown towers, campus gatherings at Rutgers-Newark and NJIT, receptions before a show and brand activations near the arena district. Each booking gets the same specialty coffee we pour in our own cafés.

Volume is where coffee catering usually breaks down, and it is where we plan hardest. We run two fully built-out carts, so a large Newark conference can have two service points instead of one long queue.

Downtown buildings and venues have strict security and vendor rules. We carry commercial liability insurance and send certificates of insurance well before the date. Essex County carries no travel surcharge, and your quote shows the full hourly cost before you sign anything.

Coffee Options for Newark Events

The core menu is espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites and loose leaf teas, plus house syrups and regular or oat milk. For crowds, iced drinks and cold brew pour quickly and take pressure off the espresso machine.

Brand activations in downtown lobbies or near the arena can call for a wrapped cart, logo cups and a signature drink built around the campaign. Corporate teams can add matcha as a non-coffee option.

Newark Coffee Catering FAQ

Can you load in to a high-rise with a freight elevator?

Yes. Share the loading dock location, freight elevator hours and any certificate requirements when you book. We schedule arrival around the building's rules so the bar is ready on time.

Can you serve several hundred guests at once?

For large Newark events we can bring both of our carts, giving you two service points. Tell us your headcount and service window and we will recommend a setup.

Will you provide a certificate of insurance for venue security?

Yes. Send us the venue's COI requirements, including any additional insured names, and we will return the certificate before your event date.

Where do you park and unload downtown?

Downtown Newark has limited curb space. We ask about your building's loading area or garage clearance in advance and build in time to unload and set up without rushing.

How do you price your packages?

We charge by the hour, and all of our packages are fully inclusive of the cost of our baristas, equipment, travel fees, and supplies, including coffee, cups and lids, regular and alternative milks (oat milk), and our housemade syrups.

What do you need to set up?

All we need is level ground, a 5x5-foot area, a power outlet on a dedicated circuit, a space accessible by wheels so we can get our cart in place, and a day-of point of contact to show us where to set up.

What drinks do you offer?

Our carts are coffee shops on wheels. We serve café classics like espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, drip coffee, loose leaf teas, and matcha, along with our house-made syrups (Lavender Vanilla, Caramel Cardamom, Mocha). We also offer our signature Honey Cinnamon Latte and can create a custom signature drink for your event. Cold brew and iced drinks are available as add-ons.

How far in advance should I book?

For most events, 2 to 4 weeks advance notice is ideal. For larger conferences or events with custom branding, more lead time is helpful. We can often accommodate shorter timelines — reach out and we will let you know what is possible.
